"Through my love of Filipino cooking, I pay homage to my mother, Corazon (‘heart’ in Spanish-Filipino), who I lost to cancer in 2013. She was my best friend, a kitchen confidente, my Sweet Cora, my everything. This collection of recipe cards represents the love, loss, and memories we baked. A collection of moments that awoke me from my grief, as I took out her recipe box and baked. Reflecting on the words my Mama wrote in the little book she'd take to chemo - 'Life isn't fair, but it’s still good. Matamis na buhay." - Grace Guinto
